  • Artists throughout history have been captivated by the human face—and this class invites students to join that tradition.

We’ll begin with the foundations of facial proportion, using self-portraits to sharpen observation skills. From there, students will explore a range of expressive styles inspired by master artists, including cubism, pop art, and gesture drawing.

Each week offers guided instruction and high levels of individual feedback to help students refine their technique and build confidence. By the end of the session, students will create both expressive and realistic portraits using drawing and painting mediums.

  • Good abstract art isn’t random—and it’s often more challenging than it looks. But there are guiding principles behind every strong piece.

Each week, we’ll explore key design concepts such as movement, color theory, composition, and how to evoke emotion through your work. Students will then have dedicated time to experiment with that week’s concept, applying it to their own creative process as they build toward a final project.

Adult Class

  • For many adults, the biggest hurdle to joining an art class isn’t time or talent—it’s a mental one. We often stop prioritizing our own creativity, growth, and joy, focusing instead on our children’s development. But nurturing your own passions is not only healthy—it’s powerful role modeling. When kids see the adults in their lives still learning and growing, it sends a beautiful message: learning never ends.

If there’s still a little flicker inside you wishing you could…
I’m here to tell you—you absolutely can.

  • Or maybe it all just feels overwhelming!

That’s why I design my classes to center around the creative process—not perfection. We sketch, explore, make mistakes, toss things out, and try again. There’s plenty of space to learn, experiment, and grow before we ever worry about a “final project.”

My goal is to help you truly learn—not just copy. That way, you’ll have the confidence and skills to create independently, again and again.

  • Art is about creation.
Artists have the freedom to make whatever speaks to them—and you can too!
Whether you're drawn to landscapes, abstract art, still life, or something entirely your own, I’ll guide you through the techniques, methods, and foundations so you can create with confidence and joy.

  • I know adults are busy—but if you’ve made it this far, that little spark matters. I want to help make this work for you.
